Pablo Picasso

Pablo Ruiz Picasso, born in Malaga, Spain, on the 25th of October 1881, and deceased on the 8th of April 1973 in Mougins, France, is a spanish painter, drawer and sculptor who spent most of his life in France.

Artist using every existing mediums for his work, Picasso is considered as the founder of cubism with Georges Braque, and a surrealism art companion. He is one of the most important artists of the XX th century, for his formal and technical contributions and for his politic stands.

Picasso produced about 50 000 works, of which 1 885 paintings, 1 228 sculptures, 2 880 ceramics, 7 089 drawings, 150 sketch books and 30 000 engravings.
